Why Pre-Heat Scrap?

Preheating the scrap to over 1000 degreesF(538C)

results in less energy required to achieve melting

and superheating temperatures.Melt rate can be

increased by 15% to 20%.

Enviromentally Clean

During the heating cycle,the scrap is moved

to expose fresh surfaces to the burners,thereby

ensuring maxumum preheating and incineration of

hydrocarbons and other pollutants.

Safety

Scrap containing water or oil presents a

potential hazard when charged into a furnace.
